Sculpture Project

Did you learn any new techniques?
Yes I used a book and am exacto knife for the first time. It was very tiring and it hurt my wrists but it turned out to be a cool project.

Did you consider how ideas would work before you tried them?
Yes I wrote down all my ideas and analyzed them before I chose one.

Portrait Project

Did you gain skill with familiar materials?
Actually this was my first time using water  colored pencils and I think it went over very well.

Did you learn new techniques?
Yes I learned how to work with water colored pencils.

Land Art Project

How did you respond to challenges that occurred as you worked?
We had planned on using spray paint to paint the tree but once we realized none of the spray paint worked then we used paint brushes and sponges to paint it.

When did you step back and look at your work?
We constantly looked at our work from a distance because it's such a large object and you can't tell what it looks like up close.

Art Journal Project

My quote for this project was "Journal about Magic." I don't really like magic so I decided to make my topic "Summer is Magical" because it still includes magic and flows with my topic. I put a lot of summer quotes and everything that deals with summer.

How did you use your own unique ideas?
I used my ideas by putting the topic into a different direction because I don't like magic and I love summer.

Did you learn any new techniques?
Yes I did. I learned how to decoupage tissue paper and pictures to a book and make it look really cool.
